Titans want to throw more often
The Tennessee Titans plan on throwing the football more often this year, taking some of the load off of running back Chris Johnson.
Despite quarterback Vince Young’s offseason incident, the team has been pleased with his overall progress on and off the field.
They have been especially pleased with the way he has thrown the ball in the preseason and think wideout Kenny Britt can really help him out.
Johnson wants to reach 2,500 yards rushing this season, but the Titans don’t want to run him into the ground.
He will still get plenty of touches, but the goal is to develop a more balanced offense.
